Glitter Text Generator

Again...talking about the World Breastfeeding Week...I think it would be beneficial to share globally some valuable personal experiences regarding breastfeeding...and if there are breastfeeding mommies happen to be hopping here..let's do it!
I will first share about the foods and drinks that I usually take which I believe can boost up my breastmilk production. Boiling barley with some rock sugar cools down my body heat but increases the production of my BM. Another one...traditionally my mom wouldnt allow me to eat much spicy foods especially the curry-based delicacies...but how could I ever resist such temptation? *LOL* In fact, everytime I have curry-based food..my BM does increase! I have come across some articles saying that the fenugreek seeds(in Malay 'halba') contained in the curry powder play the important role in improving the blood flow in our body, thus improving the BM production.
Ok...that's all for now.. and will continue some time this week...
Good days ahead.........happy weekend!

Salam...Good day..! I'm back......

As a breastfeeding ummi...I am very grateful to Allah *syukur alhamdulillah* for bestowing me such strength to fully breastfeed my 16-month-old Habibati. Everytime I breastfeed her..I feel proud....great....wonderful.....
Oh ya... I really love to share globally with the breastfeeding moms the goodness of Breast Milk.. and for more readings have a go to this website at www.medindia.net/healthday/breastfeeding_week.asp
Goodness of Breast Milk

Just as the baby is well protected in the womb, breast milk offers similar protection to the baby after birth. Breast-feeding in the first one hour following birth is a MUST.
Breast-feeding is wholesome and absolute nourishment for the baby during the initial 6 months. It is important to exclusively breast feed the child during the first six months without the requirement of other milk, food or water.
• Colostrum, the pale yellow first milk present in the initial 2-3 days following birth provides resistance against infections and diseases.
Adequate calories are contained in breast milk with the right amount of fat, lactose, vitamins, minerals, water and enzymes, just right for baby’s needs.
• It is completely free of germs and bacteria and can guard the baby from any infection. Further, it has protective ingredients which inhibit the growth of bacteria in the intestine, the leading cause of diarrhea in infants.
Breast milk is economical and free from contamination. No preparation time is required as it is always ready when the baby needs.
• Breast milk goes beyond being just ‘food’ for the baby. It enhances bonding between the mother and child, providing security, warmth and comfort to the infant.
Formula for Life Long Health – Breast Milk

There are innumerable life-long benefits of breast milk and some are listed below :-

• Breast feeding offers protection against respiratory illnesses.
• Incidences of heart disease, diabetes, and allergic conditions are less in breastfed babies.
• Breastfeeding gives an impetus to the development of the brain. Babies fed on breast milk portray higher intelligence quotient than infants on other baby food.
• Breast feeding mothers regain their pre-pregnancy weight much faster than mothers who do not breast feed.

Fun Public Holiday

15th July happened to be our one-day public holiday here in Brunei, so we had a valuable chance to bring the kids to the Mall with an aim to have fun.

Habibi had a fun bear ride for seven minutes which cost just $2. However, Ayah had to guard him because this was his first time to ride.

Well...Habibati enjoyed her bee ride..compared to her brother..she was more independent and was in deed very eager to try the rides at the funland there.

Just have a look here...Habibi was clinging tight onto Ayah while Habibati was having a good time on the steering wheel!

Ummi and Habibati....

mmmmm...which Barney would I choose ya.....

His Majesty's 62nd Birthday Anniversary
We, the Bruneians, are in the spirit of celebrating our Monarch's 62nd birthday anniversary...our capital city Bandar Seri Begawan is bathed with colourful lights and fire-crackers. All walks of life are flocking to the city to witness couples of events planned for this celebration. Sadly...I don't have good shots of the events but this website royalbirthday.org.bn will help if u have the time to look and read...
I bet I'm not too late to convey this congratulatory message...

*MY FAVOURITE LAYERED CAKES*

This is Kek Lapis Mozek Sarawak that I made...This cake tastes so chocolatey that suits my taste to the fullest. Sarawak layered cakes are well known for their rich, fluffy and moist textures. Adding more, the bright colours of the layers make such cakes attractive. It was not that difficult to make...I had to cut the cakes equally into sections and then rearranged the sections up-side-down so that the mosaic patterns appeared.

Another one...Kek Lapis Aiskrim Prune...This is very easy to make. On every layer I arranged some sliced prunes. The sweet and sour taste of the prunes dominates the cakes. This cake is special to me because one of the ingredients is vanilla ice cream flour. This recipe is originated from Singapore.
....mmmmmm.....hari raya mood is captivating me.....already!

My Friday Brunch

I had been thinking of this KFC Chicken Chop..eversince I saw the advertisement on tv...this temptation struck me like a thunder...the urge to taste this delicacy was so strong...that I grabbed my hubby to the nearby KFC this morning. So what happened?

Here it costs BND$7plus...with a soft drink. Well...personal comment---> An A to the coleslaws and a C+ for the chop n gravy ....why only a C+? mmm...well it's subjective yea...or maybe I was given the thigh and drumstick part...which didn't fit my taste...or ..due to my PMS ...anyway bersyukur dgn apa yang ada...

Our So-Called "Spiderman"

Our living room has turned into a funland nursery. The kids are actively moving here and there...up and down.....carrying out their explorations...generating their imaginations. Have a good grin at Habibi's reactions towards the relocation of the sofa.

He is having his wonderful time climbing up the sofa, so being a spiderman is really making him feel gooooood!

However...this is how he looks when he is in his 'relax mode'...watching Barney and friends DVD. Love u sweetiepie!
